4th thematic workshop of the living lab projects TransUrban.NRW, SmartQuart and the accompanying research ENERGIEWENDEBAUEN
The planning of innovative building and neighborhood energy systems is changing. Increasing sector coupling, the electrification of transport, and rising cooling requirements in residential and non-residential buildings are leading to a steadily growing complexity of the overall system - both in construction and in operation. At the same time, the progressive digitalization of all areas of life is increasing the availability and processability of data. The key to making the ever-increasing complexity manageable in the early planning phases is smart data processing and dynamic planning methods.
The focus of the successfully conducted 4th thematic workshop of the living lab projects TransUrban.NRW, SmartQuart and the accompanying research ENERGIEWENDEBAUEN on the topic "Digitized Planning - Making Complexity Manageable" was the presentation and discussion of current developments in the fields of data collection, smart data management and automated energy system modeling. The workshop took place digitally on 29.06.2022 with 85 participants from research and practice.
Three keynote presentations addressed how newly developed and available planning and software tools can interact to move from data to innovative energy system solutions. In a subsequent plenary discussion, impulse theses were presented by the speakers and the project leaders of the organizing projects and discussed with the workshop participants.
