Development of an holistic, data-based Occupants’ behavioral model for realistic prediction of the energy consumption of buildings

Master's Thesis Wang Copyright: EBC Proportion of households with at least one present occupant by weekday and weekend

This thesis presented two models in the aspect of occupants’ behaviorial impact in dwellings. The first occupancy model was developed to simulate occupants’ presence patterns in German residential buildings based on Markov chain (MC) technique and dataset from time-use survey. The second model was created to couple the occupancy patterns with the existing MC based modelling of window opening (WinProGen).
