Optimization
Due to an increasingly decentralized energy supply with fluctuating feed-in of renewable energies, the optimization of energy systems for their operation and the interaction of different system components is of increasing relevance. These include, for example, the optimal commitment of energy supply units via the building energy management as well as the optimal combination of retrofit measures with regard to economy and environmental compatibility.
Our work in the field of optimization of energy systems should help to recommend the optimal solutions from the large number of possible technical solutions for the relevant question and to offer corresponding planning tools. At the EBC both exact and heuristic methods are used.
