In this bachelor’s thesis, various approaches of typification of laboratory buildings are shown and investigated in terms of thermal energy consumption. The typifications of the laboratory buildings are based on important characteristics. By analysing these characteristics, the air exchange rate can be identified as one significant factor concerning thermal energy consumption. In this context, laboratory buildings at Forschungszentrum Jülich are analysed. In addition, a data collection sheetfor laboratory buildings is created, which can be used for building a uniform database. Finally, the energy consumption of a selected laboratory building is simulated. The comparison of measurement data and simulation data delivers the influence of the air change rate.
