Six members of EBC participate at BSO14 in London. Dr. Björn Flieger refers about "Fluidflow Simulation for Building Performance Evaluation", Ana Constantin about "A review of existing methods for the simulation-assisted development of control strategies for complex energy systems". Hassan Harb presents the topic "Optimal Design of Energy Conversion Units for Residental Houses", Henryk Wolisz about "City District Information Modeling as a Foundation for Simulation and Evaluation of Smart City Approaches". Roozbeh Sangi introduces the topic "Dynamic exergy analysis - part I: Modelica-based tool development" and Pooyan Jahangiri gives an additional speach about "Dynamic exergy analysis - part II: a case study of CHP district heating in Bottrop".

BSO14 provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge on the development and application of building performance simulation to the optimum design and operation of buildings. The conference has four broad themes:

  • New performance models and simulation methods
  • Procedures for optimizing design and operation
  • Real-world case studies
  • Visualisation in built environment
