The kick-off meeting of the BMWK/AiF-funded project "EnTubeChanger – Utilization of Hollow Fibre Membrane Enthalpy Exchangers" took place on July 28, 2023 as a hybrid kick-off event, combining a web conference with an in-person gathering at the E.ON EBC. For this purpose, the participating research institutions met with representatives of the project committee of the Research Association for Air and Drying Technology (FLT).

The research project is a cooperation between the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering and the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate of the RWTH Aachen University, which unites the membrane development expertise of the CVT with the indoor climate technology proficiency of the EBC. The aim is to develop an enthalpy exchanger with hollow fibre membranes for moisture and heat recovery in order to improve indoor comfort and the energy efficiency of the ventilation system.
