At the EBC a „Hardware-in-the-Loop“ test bench for hydraulic networks is developed to analyze the dynamic behavior of radiator and control valve for single room heating with reduced space requirements. To guarantee the same conditions as in a real sized room, the boundary conditions are calculated in a simulation model using Modelica.
This thesis started by analyzing the behavior of the radiator and a classical thermostatic valve in a test bench with real size. The results should be transferred to the HiL test bench. Part of this thesis was also the optimization of the air flow in the HiL test bench. The results of the validation of the optimized test bench are shown in this thesis.
