Please note for summer semester 2020:
This lecture will take place in summer semester 2020. Due to the restrictions caused by the corona pandemic, we are currently working on a digital teaching concept. The topics of the lecture will be made available as online materials with videos in RWTHmoodle as far as possible. The first materials will be available from April 6, 2020. The exercise will also be implemented via online materials and zoom meetings. Both events will be further supported by an exchange in RWTHmoodle.
On 22.4.2020 at 10:30 am on the date of the actual lecture a zoom introductory session will take place with explanations of the course of the lecture and exercise as well as an introduction to the topic.

Europeans spend most of their life inside buildings or transportation vehicles. Therefore, a comfortable indoor climate is on of the basic needs and greatly influences the productivity as well as health factors. On the other hand, our society currently faces the challange of using natural resources and energy sources sustainably. For this reason, climate control of indoor rooms has to become more energy efficient.
This lecture offers an introduction to basic calculation methods applied in air-conditiong technology and imparts an overview of highly resource-conserving techniques for air-conditioning.
