This lecture will take place in summer semester 2021. Due to the restrictions caused by the corona pandemic, this semsetser's course will again be digitlal-only. The topics of the lecture will be made available as online materials with videos in RWTHmoodle. The exercise will also be implemented via online materials and zoom meetings. Both events will be further supported by an exchange in RWTHmoodle.

Europeans spend most of their life inside buildings or transportation vehicles. Therefore, a comfortable indoor climate is on of the basic needs and greatly influences the productivity as well as health factors. On the other hand, our society currently faces the challange of using natural resources and energy sources sustainably. For this reason, climate control of indoor rooms has to become more energy efficient.
This lecture offers an introduction to basic calculation methods applied in air-conditiong technology and imparts an overview of highly resource-conserving techniques for air-conditioning.
