Fields of activity

Tobias Blacha’s work focuses on modelling of thermal energy supply systems on city district scale. For this purpose, he develops and connects simulation models for the energy supply, distribution and consumption in order to simulate entire urban energy system.

Tobias Blacha studied mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University and after completing his bachelor's degree, he continued his master's degree at the RWTH Aachen University with focus on Energy Engineering. Subsequently, he started his research at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate at the beginning of 2016.
