Gonzalo Parra-Alvarez’s research focuses on the optimization of energy consumption at the city district level. To this purpose, he combines real time data with physical buildings’ information to detect optimization opportunities.
Mr. Parra-Alvarez received a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 2015, after which he pursued a M.Sc. in Systems Engineering and Automation. Having worked with the Internet of Things technology stack, Mr. Parra-Alvarez works on data-driven energy optimization at the district level. Since October 2019, he works as a research associate at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate.
