Gonzalo Parra-Alvarez’s research focuses on the optimization of energy consumption at the city district level. For this, he combines real time data with physical buildings’ information detect optimization opportunities.
Mr. Parra-Alvarez received a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 2015, after which he pursued a M.Sc. in Systems Engineering and Automation. Having experienced with the internet of things technology stack, Mr. Parra-Alvarez works on data-driven energy optimization at the district level. Since October of 2019, he is working as a research associate at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate.
