Fields of activity
Dennis Derwein works in the team Occupant Behavior and Comfort on the investigation of air conditioning systems in vehicles. In his research, he is primarily focused on the evaluation and improvement of thermal comfort in passenger aircraft cabins.
Dennis Derwein studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University until 2019, majoring in energy engineering. He completed his internship at Robert Bosch GmbH in Schwieberdingen. During his studies he worked at the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics in teaching and in the research group Sorption Systems Engineering. He wrote his master thesis during a stay abroad at the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. Since February 2020, Dennis Derwein has been employed as a research associate at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate at RWTH Aachen University.
