Sarah Welter is part of the interdisciplinary team of the Scientific Accompanying Research (BF). She works on the non-technical factors that influence the energy efficiency of buildings. These include investment incentives, economic barriers to energy efficency as well as user and community participation.
Sarah Welter studied economics and business economics at Maastricht University and obtained her M.Sc. in economics with the specialization in game theory and behavioral economics at the University of Amsterdam in 2016. Furthermore, she worked as a research associate in the field of economic impact assessment for M-Five GmbH in Karlsruhe. Since May 2019, Sarah Welter works as a research associate in the team Holistic Building Design and Management.
