Fields of activity
Jonas Klingebiel works in the team Building Energy Systems and deals with hardware-in-the-loop solutions for heat pump and refrigeration technology. He is currently working on the OptiAbt project, in which defrosting methods for air coolers are compared and optimized with regard to energy efficiency and life cycle costs using experimental methods.
Jonas Klingebiel first studied Business Administration and Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) at the RWTH Aachen University and completed his studies with a master´s degree in renewable energy technologies. Furthermore, he gained practical experience through a voluntary internship at Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH in the research and development of new heat pump technologies. During his studies he supported the local energy supply company Trianel GmbH. In addition, he worked at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate. Here he also completed his master thesis and started working as a research associate in January 2020.
