Fields of activity

Phillip Stoffel works in the building automation team in the field of control strategies and monitoring systems. The focus of his work is on the predictive energy-efficient control of coupled geothermal fields and building energy systems. In particular, he concentrates on model predictive control techniques and data-driven modelling of energy systems.

CV

Phillip Stoffel completed a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University. He continued his studies in energy engineering with a specialization in regenerative energy technologies. During his studies, he also worked as a student assistant at the Institute for Combustion Engines in the field of mild hybrid vehicles. Since the beginning of 2019, he is a research associate at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate of the E.ON Energy Research Center at RWTH Aachen University in the field of building automation.
