Fields of activity
As a team member of the team building automation, Xiaoye Cai focuses on the development and analysis of district energy systems. Her major research activities are the comparison of the existing control strategy of a real-life system and a mode-based control algorithm through simulations. She deduces possible improvements of the method and applies them to a real-life district energy system.
CV
Xiaoye Cai studied mechanical engineering at Tongji University in China. Based on the educational cooperation between China and Germany, she studied one year in Germany in an exchange program. After her bachelor’s degree, she continued her studies in mechanical engineering in the Diplom program at Dresden University of Technology and specialized in Energy Engineering. In 2018, she started working as a research associate at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate of the E.ON Energy Research Center at the RWTH Aachen University in the field of building automation.
