Fields of activity
Felix Stegemerten is involved in the development and evaluation of novel
concepts for the automation of building energy systems. One focus of his
work is the development of a cloud application for automated testing of the
operation of building automation hardware and software. Both simulation and
experiment are used to evaluate the operation.
Felix Stegemerten completed his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
at RWTH Aachen University. He then studied energy technology in the master's
program, specializing in regenerative energy technologies. Since the
beginning of 2021, he conducts research as a research assistant at the
Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate at the RWTH
Aachen University in the Building Automation team.
