Fields of activity
Philipp Ostmann works in the team Ventilation Systems and focuses on the energetic optimization of HVAC components. He currently supports the project LuftKonverTeR. In this project calculation and rating methods for dynamic operation of HVAC systems are developed.

Philipp Ostmann first studied Mechanical Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University and finished his studies with a master’s degree in the field of Energy Engineering. During his studies he worked at FEV Europe GmbH where he conducted 3D-CFD simulations on turbines of exhaust turbochargers. Following his studies, he joined the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate as a research associate in April 2019.
