Fields of activity

Sebastian Ostlender is engaged in the processing and analysis of field test data from the field of low-carbon city energy solutions. A special focus is on the operation of heat pumps in real applications and the identification of improvement potential for the realization of the sustainable heat supply of tomorrow – from the system- to the component-level.

CV

Sebastian Ostlender studied Mechanical Engineering with a Focus on Regenerative Energy Engineering at RWTH Aachen University from October 2015 to July 2021. During his studies, he completed an internship in thermodynamic-pre-development department at AUDI AG in Ingolstadt and wrote his bachelor's thesis there. Furthermore, he worked as a student assistant at the Institute for Machine Elements and Systems Engineering and as a research assistant at the Institute for Combustion Technology. He wrote his master's thesis at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate. After completing his studies, he began working there as a research assistant.
