Fields of activity

Sebastian Borges develops and examines the use of Digital Twins for sustainable heating systems in the building sector. He is currently working on the DZWi project, in which Digital Twins for heat pumps and fuel cells are being developed. The main goal is to shorten R&D periods with their help. CV

Sebastian Borges studied mechanical engineering at the University of Paderborn from 2012 to 2016, focusing on Energy Engineering. From 2016 to 2020, he completed a master's degree in Energy Engineering and Aerospace Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on regenerative energy technologies and Aeronautical Engineering. During his studies, he completed various internships in the field of Energy Engineering and worked as a student assistant at the Center for Wind Power Drives (CWD) and the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics (LTT). He wrote his master's thesis at the Chair of Building and Air Conditioning Technology (EBC) and started working there as a research assistant after graduation.
