Fields of activity

Jonas Klingebiel works in the team refrigerant cycles and has his focus on hardware-in-the-loop solutions for heat pump and refrigeration technology. By combining dynamic cycle process simulations and experimental investigations, individual system components as well as the overall operating strategy of the heat pump are improved. Within the OptiAbt project, the entire operating cycle of a heat pump, consisting of the heating and defrosting process, is investigated and subsequently optimized using experimental and numerical methods.

CV

RWTH Aachen University and completed his studies with a master´s degree in renewable energy technologies. Furthermore, he gained practical experience through a voluntary internship at Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH in the research and development of new heat pump technologies. During his studies he supported the local energy supply company Trianel GmbH.  In addition, he worked at the Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate. Here he also completed his master thesis and started working as a research associate in January 2020.
