Information
Fields of activity
Christoph Höges works in the Refrigerant Cycles team and is primarily involved in the theoretical analysis of heat pumps and chillers. The focus is on the design of heat pumps starting by the refrigerant to the design and tuning of individual components of the refrigeration cycle. Various refrigerants (pure substances as well as mixtures) are systematically investigated with regard to their thermodynamic properties in compliance with political guidelines. Furthermore, different cycle schemes are evaluated. Based on the evaluation, the system components are designed. Finally, the designed system is examined in dynamic simulations and experiments.
CV
Christoph Höges studied mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University and completed his studies with a specialization in renewable energy technologies in October 2019. During his studies, he supported, among other things, the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics in the field of sorption technology and teaching. After finishing his master‘s thesis at the Institute for Energy Efficient Building and Indoor Climate he started working as a research associate in March 2020.
