PLUG-N-HARVEST plenary meeting in Cardiff, Wales
From 20.11.-22.11.2018 the fourth plenary meeting of the PLUG-N-HARVEST project took place at Cardiff University in Wales. Within the PLUG-N-HARVEST project, a modular toolkit for the refurbishment of existing buildings that combines measures to reduce energy requirements with technical elements for the local use of renewable energies is being developed.
On the first day, the Welsh pilot was visited. On the following two days, the intermediate results of the individual work packages, such as the requirements analysis, the technical elaboration of the modular toolkit, the simulation, the automation as well as the development of a business model under consideration of circular economy principles were presented and the further work package-spanning procedure was discussed.
At the beginning of next year, the first prototypes will be constructed in the test halls of the EBC and the monitoring system in the pilot buildings in Greece, Spain, Wales and Germany will be implemented. The next plenary meeting is scheduled for the end of February 2019.
