Comfort Workshop with Prof. Shin-ichi Tanabe

The Japanese scientiest Shin-ichi Tanabe visited the E.ON ERC. Scope of his visit was to improve the international cooperation with regards to thermal comfort and building energy technology.

EBC deepens its international cooperation in the field of thermal comfort and building energy technology. On the 21^st of May the institute welcomed Prof. Shin-ichi Tanabe from Waseda University in Tokio, Japan together with a group of master and PhD students. Within an interdisciplinary workshop together with the Chair in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building E3D and the Chair in Building Technology gbt professors and scientific research associates discussed with the guests under the motto “User – Building – Technology”. The first part of the workshop was focussed on actual research work on thermal comfort indoors. In the second part future intelligent energy systems and the trends in the German and Japanese market were discussed. The day finished off with a mutual burger dinner.
