Symposium EnEV 2014 - Implications for the practice

On Friday, July 4th 2014 the fifth Symposium „Buildings - Energy - Technology“ on the topic "EnEV 2014 - Implications for practice" took place at the E.ON Energy Research Center.
The Symposium was organized by VDI „Verein Deutscher Ingenieure, Aachener Bezirksverein e.V.“ (Association of German Engineers, Aachen chapter), Verein der Förderer der Forschung im Bereich Energieeffizientes Bauen e.V. (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph van Treeck) - an association to support scientific research in the area of energy efficient construction - and Verein der Förderer der Forschung und Lehre in der Raumklimatechnik e.V. (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dirk Müller) - an association to support scientific research and education in the area of indoor climate technology.
Talks were given by the practitioners Mrs. Heike Böhmer ("Insulating with care"), Mr. Christoph Sprengard ("EnEV 2014 - Implications for insulation material and building construction"), Mr. Dieter Thiel ("EnEV 2014 - Implications for systems engineering") and Mr. Claus Händel ("Evaluation of venting and air conditioning systems following EnEV 2014"). 90 people attended and their interest helped to spark lively discussions. The symposium ended with a light meal and a broadcast of the football match France - Germany.
